On this day that marks the enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha in Bodhgaya and his passing into paranirvana, it is taught that the merit of any activity is multiplied ten million times. In order to celebrate, and make the most out of this karmic opportunity, Tse Chen Ling is offering the following program: We will begin by taking the Eight Mahayana Precepts at 5:00 am at Tse Chen Ling Center. At 9:00 am, will we host an Animal Liberation Ceremony with Geshe Dakpa at Tse Chen Ling.
During this Ceremony, animals facing impeding death are purchased and released. When we save lives, we create the cause for a long life and good health. At approx 11 am, a potluck brunch at TCL will follow and at 6:30pm, we will host a Sixteen Arhats Puja (set up at 5pm). We hope you will join us. All are welcome for any or all of the day.
